What is level 5?
When you applied for your provisional licence, you would have received a Driver’s Record. This document can be used by you and your instructor to gage your progress as you learn new skills and develop existing ones.
The form is divided into 24 subjects or skills. For each skill, there is numbered level: e.g. Level 1 = the skill has been introduced, Level 5 = the skill is performed consistently without prompting by your instructor.
Every pupil should aim to be Level 5 for as many of the skills as possible before going to test to maximise their potential to pass their driving test first time.
Below is a list of the different skills and what you need to do to be considered a pupil at Level 5.
